Welcome to the Red Team.

I am looking forward to a successful year for all of us. If you come to class prepared and ready to participate and work you will go far.

The World History Curriculum spans from the fall of Rome to today, so we have a lot of material to cover.  We will begin the year starting with the reaction to one of the key events in history, the Industrial Revolution.  We will move on to the rise of Germany as a nation state, New Imperialism, WWI, the interwar period, WWII, and the Cold War.  We also cover world religions, but we will include these as we come across individuals in history (e.g. we will study Hinduism with Gandhi's non violent revolt against imperialism and Buddhism with the Dali Llama and the Chinese invasion of Tibet.) Then we will go to the fall of Rome and the beginning of the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and Age of Exploration, the Scientific Revolution, Englightment and Industrial Revolution.
