Decade Interview Project: Due January 12, 2009
Holiday vacation is the perfect time to complete this assignment.

1. Interview at least three different people.
2. You have to write the interview answers down. If you hand these out to your interview subjects and they fill the sheets out your interviews will not be accepted.
3. The interview subject has to be at least 5 years old at the beginning of the decade.
4. The decades to be completed will be the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, 1980's, 1990's,2000's.
5. One decade will be completed twice. Interview your parents about the decade they graduated from high school. Also, interview your grand parents (or someone at least 20 years older than your parents about the same decade) Identify the major differences.

Don't forget the back page of the interview. What are the major changes in society?

Identify the terms, people, and places in split page notes
Answer the three checkpoint questions in complete sentences. Also, answer the focus question on page 939 and thinking critically question #1 on page 941.

Separate homework: Answer questions #2+3 on the map on page 943. Also, answer questions #1,2,3 on page 947.

29(4) Victory in Europe and the Pacific (948-951) Identify the terms, people, and places in split page notes. Also, answer the three checkpoint questions in complete sentences. Answere #3 on the map of the WWII in the Pacific on page 949.

Week of December 7,2009

Today is December 7th. Why did FDR call this "a date that will live in infamy."
What is infamy and why should we remember this date?

This week we will be recreating the 1932 Weimar election that got Hitler elected chancellor of Germany.

The quiz this week will deal with information covered in class and material on Hitler and Mussolini.

Homework due by Friday:

Also, answer the Witness History focus question on page 924.

Identify the terms, people and places in split page notes. Also, answer the four checkpoint questions in complete sentences.
Also, answer the focus question on page 930, and the Thinking Critically questions 1+2 on page 933.
