Look at the picture on 756?  What is a flapper?

Honors homework week of September 17, 2018

For Classroom discussion this week;
September 17th is Constitution Day.  What is the most important feature of the document that was signed September 17, 1787?   How many branches of government did it establish?  Why?
What is the Bill of Rights and why was it amended to the Constitution two years later?

Does the First Amendment to the Constitution protect the right of freedom of speech?   Is the right to kneel down during the National Anthem to protest perceived civil rights disparities in America protected by the first amendment?  Are your rights to protest the same at school and work the same as the right to protest as a citizen on the street? What do you think of President Trump's criticism of NFL and NBA players?

We will look at Otto von Bismarck and his impact on Germany this week.  Unification of Germany homework is past due after this Monday:  22-1 and 21-2

Look at the chart 697.  List the  effects of WWI.  Explain why you chose this.

How did Germany become a world power that almost conquered Europe?    This week we will look at Otto von Bismarck and see how Germany went from a group of 39 disunited states to a monolithic power.
Tuesday is also the anniversary of 9/11.  We will see how the events of this infamous day changed America.  I would like you to talk to someone at least 25 years or older(and ask them how the US changed in any of these (SPRITE EM) ways:
