Week 4 of remote learning, World History classes Due May 1, 2020

In last week's assignment Green sarcastically said before 1820 men lived like the Neaderthals(who never farmed or domesticated animals ).  Green also sarcastically said life between 1220 was similar to life  in 1820.   These statements are not true,  the period between 1500-1800 was dominted by Slavery, Commerical and Agricultural revolutions, which changed life dramatically.

2.  Do you think Rosling's video shows the US and the West falling behind or Asia (tiger economies) and Africa (lion economies) catching up?
3. Does this give you hope for the future of the world?

1. What type of leaders do people want during a time period of crisis?
2. Napoleon Bonaparte ended the French Revolution in 1799 and replaced liberty, equality, and fraternity with order, security, and efficiency. He also ended many of the democratic reforms brought about by the French Revolution. Why do you think he did that?
Napoleon was a great general and administrator and admired by many, including Adolf Hitler.
Both of these men considered themselves destined for greatness, and both met the same fate after their failed invasions of Russia.
